Cost:
$55 for USAU or if you've already paid for a league this year
$72 for non-USAU members and first league this year
How:
Bring a black shirt, white shirt, rubber cleats (non-metal), water, and good spirit.
After getting feedback from league players and SLUA leadership, we are going to try a new structure for the Fall.
We are going to have 2 set groups of 30-35 players instead of 4 set teams.
We will divide those who sign by skill/experience into 2 groups for the season. Men will be divided and then women so we will have balanced numbers in each group.
The lower half will be Group 1 on the upper soccer field. The upper half will be Group 2 on the lower baseball fields. We will use captain input and player request to determine where to put each player.
Each group will play on the same field and time each week, 6:30-7:55pm. (Mixed pickup on the lower field 8-9pm)
Each week at 6:30pm, captains will silent pick their team from each group. Baggages will stay in the same group, but may be on different teams.
The goal is for balanced play rather than keeping track of which team wins each week. This new format will help with keeping teams more even with closer match ups, helping address the wide skill level we have of brand new players all the way to advanced club players.
Who:
Registration limited to 70 participants.
Gender Ratio: Offense dictates. Numbers usually set us up for 6M:1F or 5M:2F. Captains have discretion.
1 Baggage to stay in the same group, must mutually mark it on the signups.
Age Restriction: No minors, 16+ allowed if parent/guardian is present at games.
