Thank you for your interest in SLUA’s Monday Developmental League. The primary objectives of this league are to help participants develop foundational throwing skills (forehand and backhand), gain a clear understanding of the rules and structure of the sport, and enjoy a competitive yet engaging environment.

Level of Play: Beginner; all skill levels are welcome to play.

Expectations: A league session will include arrival and warm-up throwing, a focused practice segment centered on a specific rule or skill, one game of 7 on 7, and a concluding social aftermath sponsored by SLUA. (We welcome suggestions for drinks and snacks.) This is a mixed league, the ratio of men to women will be 4:3 or 3:4. Teams are expected to maximize women play, trading if needed.

Format: In alignment with our goals, participants can expect an emphasis on community building through a mutual partner system, where both players must select each other to be teammates (1-1 RATIO). To preserve the integrity of the learning environment, poaching and bracketing will not be permitted. Each session will conclude with spirit circles, reinforcing the importance of sportsmanship, reflection, and positive feedback as part of the learning experience.
